Background
Background | VHH or Nanobody is the next generation monoclonal antibody, which is a Single domain antibody (sdAb) reserving only one single antigen recognizing domain from camelid heavy chain antibody. With size of only ~ 15 kDa, Nanobody dispay numerous advantages over conventional antibody and it's derivatives, such as higher tissue penetration capability, more accessible to hidden epitopes, higher stability(thermal and pH resistant), solubility (aggregation avoidance) and binding affinity. TagRFP is a basic (constitutively fluorescent) red fluorescent protein published in 2007, derived from Entacmaea quadricolor. It has very low acid sensitivity. TagRFP/TagBFP exhibits a high fluorescent quantum yield and is widely used for fluorescent imaging, including biochemical analyses such as mass spectrometry and enzyme activity measurements. |
